February 2024 Progress | Progress Update: In FY23 OMB worked with several small agency IGs to support IG independence. In FY24, OMB continues efforts to support positive relationships between IGs and agencies. In December 2023 OMB held a multi IG meeting to receive feedback about M-22-04 “Promoting Accountability through Cooperation among Agencies and Inspectors General”.
